Set a time to get up in the morning: Whether it be 6am or 8am, try and get up at around the same time everyday. Routine is your friend.
Get dressed: That’s right, have a shower, brush your hair, brush your teeth and put some ‘day’ clothes on. It will make you feel more motivated and set up for the day ahead. Even though you may not be leaving the house it puts you in a better mindset and more motivated to do things at home.
Set yourself a task/goal for the day: It does not matter how big or small this task/goal is, but by giving yourself something to achieve during the day will give you a sense of purpose. You might like to learn a new skill or get that cupboard sorted that has been bugging you.
Move your body!!: Schedule in 30 minutes per day to move your body. Whether it be a Stretch class, Matwork class, Cardio Blast class or Circuit class. Take the time to care for yourself, your mind and body will thank you.
Get some fresh air: Go outside, sit on the grass, listen to the birds or whatever sounds are around you. Bask in the sunshine and take some deep breaths.
Reach out and connect with someone: This may be via social media, facetime, zoom, text or phone call. Whatever method you use connect with another human being. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and support if you need it. There are times when we all need that extra support!
Most importantly, remember that we are all in this together! If we keep taking small steps each day, one foot in front of the other, we will come out stronger and possibly with skills we never thought we could posses. So, lets get moving, lets connect and together we can stay motivated, healthy and happy!
